it is just past 4pm. bryn, mirei and i just came back from a late lunch at a malaysian restaurant called "matahali bar and grill" in downtown toronto. i found a bunch of (mostly asian) restaurant info from a japanese toronto community site. we went to four restaurants mentioned on the site and they were all good. today we had spring rolls, an authentic malaysian dish, and a noodle plate. malaysian food tends to be spicy, but the dishes we chose were not so bad. the noodle dish was nice and mild. the rice plate was combined with five-spice grilled shrimp, coconut rice, a sliced hard-boiled egg, malysian spicy fish paste, and mango salad. i thought all the food was quite good. the restarant was near the heart of chinatown -- kind of a hip area near toronto's art school. we saved some leftovers for my late night snack. we stopped by at the famous chinese pastry place on baldwin street to buy some snacks. we got an egg custard tart, a sesame ball and two tofu buns. bryn ate the custard tart, and i had the sesame ball and one of the tofu buns. i finally felt full after this snack. bryn dropped me off at "roots" store on bloor street, and i bought some clothes for mirei and riku. there was a lot of cute stuff for children, but it was a bit pricy. riku needs a jacket for winter in san francisco -- i will look for one on ebay when we get back.
tonight is the only night with bryn, caillie, bryant and mykayla all together. riku is having so much fun with them. myk is watching mirei a lot, so i can work on this journal a bit. their piano teacher is here now, everybody went upstairs to hang out. i am going to make a cup of tea and join them.

と、ここまで英語でがんばってみたが、ブリブリが小学２年生の英語は恥ずかしいということで、ブリ姉のパートナー、グレッグさんのコンピューターに勝手に日本語をダウンロードしてくれた。これからは日本語でいきます。
ちなみに上の英語はブリブリによって添削されたので、文法、スペルはあっていると思います。しかし文章自体は変わらず小学校２年生並ですので、安心してお読みください。
‥ここには２匹の犬がいる。そこらじゅうに毛が落ちていてだまになっている。昨日は抗ヒスタミン剤を飲んでいたのだが、今朝スーツケースを探しても見つからなかったので飲まないで済ました。今夕方の５時半だがだんだん呼吸が苦しくなってきた。荷物は地下の部屋に置いてあるので、億劫だけど降りて薬を探しに行かないと。
龍玖はこのところちんちん、うんこ、おしりの言葉オンパレードである。パンツをおろし、おしりペンペンやおちんちんだよ〜をいたるところでするので恥ずかしくてたまらない。トロントに来てからよけい激しくなったようだ。日本の４歳児たちもこんなものだろうか。
