riku and i took my injured power book to the apple store. i went to the apple site to make an appoint ment at genius bar this morning. when i tried at 10am, there were no space available. they only take areservetion if you are pro-care member which charge you $100 for yearly. i tried once more at 12pm, i could manage to put my name on the list which was in between 1:55pm to 2:25pm. when i check the place in line on their site at 1:20pm, i saw 12 people ahead of me. so we left home around 2pm. we waited for another 45 minutes at the genius bar. i had a hard time to babysit riku who had to be in the stroller the whole time. the genius said, they didn't have the new keyboard in stock, it will take a week until they get the shipping. i realized that i have to go through what we did today at least twice to just replace the keyboard. i asked the genius how much it would cost if i get the cd drive replaced. he said that they have to send my computer to the apple center which will take 8 to 10 days. also the genius said that in that case, they can replace the keyboard at the time as well. i desided that i am going to send my computer away and fix the both problems so that i don't have to come back twice.the down side is it will cost $327. even though riku caused all the proplems, it could have been avoidable if i was careful around. it was an expensive lesson to me.
